Brush Guard Question

Since I have a body lift, do brush guard still work ok? I know you can make anything work but how about one off an Explorer or S10?

You might have to modify the brackets. I'm not 100% sure on that, but since the front bumper has different brackets, you may have to.

Besides the mounting brackets, you think one from an S10 would look ok on the truck. Here is the link to the craigslist posting. I would not give him what he is asking for.

So, do these things mount to the bottom of the frame then? I have never actually seen how one mounts.

i had to cut a 3" section out of the brackets on mine, then weld it back together.

Mine mounted to the bottom of the frame... but apparently there are different styles of them since Brandon's had two holes.

That's the same way mine is... but it had a piece that went around the frame that bolted in the hole you're using.

I just cut mine instead of trusting the weak BL bumper brackets... but you could do it either way I guess.

Ya, I really do not trust those brackets that much. My bumper was a little crooked so one day I just pulled up on it to straighten it out.

those brackets look much thinner then mine, but depending on which B-guard you get you will have to cut 3 inches out and have them welded back together.

Wish I could find a used one on craigslist. I'd really like to have one and like the looks of them. It would help me out on some of the brushier areas that we have on the farm.

If it is some what close then I will get it. I am probably going to have to cut the brackets anyways for the body lift.

So, doesnt the explorer and the ranger pretty much have the same kind of contour on the front?
