new front bumper

has anyone changed there front bumper from an edge to some other pactory style bumper. not a winc bumper just maybe another factory one. dumb question i know.

I'm curious if the newer bumpers would line up right. I'd assume this would be possible since the front of the Rangers haven't changed drastically since the Edge was introduced. Now you got me thinking John lol

Well its kind of hard to give a better answer when your post is not specific. What year truck do you have? Are you talking bumper or valance? Cause the only bumper difference is chrome or painted. You need to give a little more info!

I went from a 04 edge bumper/valance to a 03 chrome bumper/valance. Anything 98-09 is swapable.

And to add to that, the bumpers and valances have to match up. 98-00, 01-03, 04-current.

True, I think the bumper brackets from 98-00 are different but 01+ are all the same, anyway verify that?

Correct. Bumper brackets from 98-00 are different.

Just in case anyone else looks at this and wants to swap there upper bumper.

4x2 cant swap with a 4x4,Edge,Fx4

Here is why Only way to then make it work is change out upper bumper and valance

my bad for not saying what year. its an 04 but i see you guys have all been kind enough to start sharing. could i do like a sport trak bumper and valance?

all these pics makes me mis my stock bumper... lol, good thing my new one is bolt on! i really like the '05 chrome bumpers!

With custom work you could but it is not a direct bolt on.
