I have a 97 ranger and I am looking into doing a front clip swap. I have the 11 grill, hood, header panel, fenders and headlights. Most people say you have to change to the newer radiator support but Ive heard that you can do the clip swap without changing it. The only difference I can tell is the newer ones come up a little in the center and the older one I have is straight across. I was wondering if anyone knows what you have to do to the older radiator support for newer model clip.

 

You just havta look & see if all the mounting holes for header panel, headlights, marker lights are in your older one AND be sure the hood latch location is the same.

Think that should be all that's could be different.

 

Thats what I'm thinking. Im going to try it and see how it goes. It would simplify the whole clip swap if you didn't have to switch the radiator support
