I recently bought a fiberglass bed cover and have been tossing around the idea of adding a rack to it to increase cargo carrying options. I remember somebody doing this but does anybody have any pictures? Has anybody done this to their fiberglass bed cover?

Here is a picture of it and I was wanting to get the tracks painted to match



Oh and I searched using bed cover rack etc, and didn't find anything

I think most of the yakima/thule gutter mounts will work.
I considered mounting the yakima megawarrior I had on the fiberglass bed cover on my sport trac, but ended up putting it on the roof anyway.

 

Anything in particular you would want to put on it?


Since you have a big flat area to work with I would say go to the junkyard and look around. Its probably by far the most cost effective way.

 

a guy down the street has some on his hard cover i will try to walk over there and grab a pic.

 

Get the cover painted to match the truck before you put a rack on it.

I was going to paint the tracks to match the bed cover which will be E4 red. I wanted to attach the rack before I got it painted...
