Tonneau, Toolbox ??

I just recently bought a tonneau snap cover..Well i have a standerd cab and NEED ROOM BAD..so i want a toolbox for all my stuff i take with me...Well i cant put a toolbox in now b/c the cover....IS there a solution besides getting an extended cab..

I thought about just getting a plastic toolbox from wally world and strapping er down to the bed under the cover...But then id have to unsnap the cover to get to it..Its cold here so the cover is REALLY tight...Maybe i could strap the toolbox down at the tailgate and just have to unsnap a little of the cover...

Well if anyone has a solution help me please

there is a tonneau made for trucks with over-the-rail toolboxes...rhuckster had one...but you would have to get rid of your current one...or you could buy a tool box that just mounts in the bed...

.

Thanks for that info....But where would you mount it?? I mean i dont wanna have to unsnap the front because its the hardest to rensap if the rest of the cover is snapped..not enough room to pull it tight...Ill look into the toolbox tonneau..

I custom cut my tonneau cover to work with my box. I just cut the frame to size, and then had a boat canvas shop resize the material with new snaps. I think it only cost me 40 bucks, plus the hundred for the tonneau. It was much cheaper this way, than to spend 300 bucks for the one made for truck boxes...

(old pic, no more edge stickers)

I still have my old Ford OEM that I cut down to fit my box. If you want it, it's yours for 50 bucks plus shipping....
Here's some pics...

Oh yeah, I beleive the box is 17" wide, but I could double check if you want.
