i went back and bought a 4 ft. today.

ill let you guys no where i mount it.

if it is over a foot above the cab you better spring mount it
seems a bit high and you are going to hit everything off road

When I first saw the pic i said man what is that a 10 foot wip. LOL......It is a bit much, it would look nice mounted to the bumper.

yeah i custom made the brackets at work in the shop. Ill get pics for youu asap but at work now. Its just a piece of flat steel bent four times. But what i did was cut a hole in my bed liner to get to the bed itself. I took my measurements and custom made the brackets. lifted my cover up, slid the bracket in, tek screwed th bracket to the bed, good to go! yes they are 4'

I've got a 5 footer on a quick disconnect in a stake-hole mount, but it doesn't even remotely fit in the garage, so I have a 3'er that I leave on most of the time.
