window scratches and tint..

Well, this weekend i noticed a scratch in my drivers side window, on the exterior side. it looks to be about 4 inches long and not too deep, but I can feel it with my finger. I've been trying to get rid of it, or at least make it look less noticable. I was thinking of tinting my windows more ( I have 20% right now, I want to go limo) but I was wondering, if I tinted them more, would the scratch show more, since there's more contrast?

its like paint if you can feel it with your finger it wont buff out. you need a new window or call your local auto glass place and talk to them they might be able to fix it. but im guessing new piece of glass

they have stuff at walmart for fixing cracks in windshields. I have heard they dont work well but since it just a scratch maby it will work....just an idea.

Im sure you can buy it at any auto parts store also.

the eastwood company has a glass buffing kit that is awesome!!! the owner of my brother truck took a scotch brite pad to get the two way tape off from the for sale sign and those deep scratches came out...idk it is def worth a try bc darker tint def shows the scratches

I have a couple long verticle sctratches on my windows from rolling them up and down. I saw a guy once take scratches out of a window with a blowtorch, he said it is very tricky because if it is heated too much it will distort the glass and if the torch is not set right it will permanantly smoke the window. Worked flawlessly for him.
