Companies making steel bumpers
Hey guys, don't know if i'm in the right section to ask this, but here goes...
I've had two idiots drive into my truck while it was parked within a year. First time cost my insurance around 2.5k to fix, now should cost more even if the bull bar deflected her from ending in my radiator. I've been shopping for a steel bumper, but so far the only two companies i've found were TAG (looks affordable, don't know about quality) and Iron Bull (too much $$$$). I've done a search on here up to 2010 and found c4x4 but i don't like the rectangle shape that looks like a stock yj jeep, no offense.. Local off-road parts stores haven't been much help either since they aren't ranger friendly.
Is there anything else or different on the market for us? I don't really care for a winch but i'd like to fit in my stock foglights if possible.
Thanks!

Not much out there that isn’t tearing your wallet out of your back pocket.
C4x4 is reasonably priced and a great product.
These guy look good and they have a nice rear bumper drawn up but no pic of the real thing.
Custom 4x4 has nice stuff too, I have the front bumper (not installed - third on the list of things to do) and would like a rear bumper but C4x4 can only make it IF there was a steppie in their area that is will ing to be used as a templet.
There welds are good and clean and easily cleaned up for painting.
You won’t go wrong with C4x4 and from the pics Fearce OR looks good.

Thanks for the interest guys!
That looks a lot like the TAG bumper, but round edges and a 300$ markup. Definately a contender, wonder if its as solid considering all the holes and form?
To be honest my biggest problem choosing is that all of these companies have in mind angle approach for off-roaders (also the pics usually show lifted trucks with huge tires lol), while i'm looking for pure protection. I like the way my oem bumper looks, it's kinda squared(if that makes sense?) and low...

Nice looking bumper, I have two other pics of this bumper, was going to use it for a model but went with the C4x4 Bumper.
Is your friend making rear bumpers for Rangers ?
MY big problem is the rear bumper, no one ever builds a rear bumper and if they do none for the Steppie.
Can’t lose with Custom4x4… custom4x4fabrication.com, , great bumper, well built, nice look.

Have you done any Rear Plate Bumpers ?
How about a Stepside Bed type Bumper ?
Looking for something but not totally sure what… wider than OEM, wrap towards the fenders.
My e-mail if you want to talk: nnf000@gmail.com
