Anyone have a photo of their mounted LV II Rear Tow Hook?

I'm just looking for a photo without a hitch mounted. I've seen Rwenzing's photos, but if anyone else has a rear tow hook mounted, I'd enjoy seeing some photos.

Doh, I should have been more specific....photos of the underside of the vehicle, ie. how it attaches to the truck itself.

I need to see the hook mounted on the vehicle on the underside, ie. a photo from the ground looking up, if anyone has one.

ok, i never got a pic when i had one on my 99, but in this picture i circled the 3 holes that the L shape bracket matches up with, BUT its the passengerside that it goes on (well, doesnt really matter), and then the rim of the spare tire surround has a hole, and the cross bar attaches to that hole and the hook

hope that helps

Frank, there are three holes near the end of the PS frame rail that match the three clustered holes in the hook bracket. The triple bolt assembly is installed from inside the frame rail channel with the nuts on the outside of the hook bracket.

The angle brace attaches to the lone fourth hole in the hook bracket on one end and to a punched hole in the spare tire x-member on the other. Because of the difference of the bend angles, you won't have any problem telling which way the angle brace goes.

The three main mounting bolts/nuts are at the top of this photo. Mine has the trailer hitch bracket behind the hook - ignore that.

This is a photo with the bed off and the arrow shows the hole in the spare tire x-member where the angle brace would mount.

Ok...like I thought. I wasn't sure exactly how the brace went, but I have an idea now. Bob, aside from your second modded tow hook, how hard would it be to mount a second back there...with no welding required?

It won't fit properly because of the offsets in the hook bracket. Also, there is no place to mount the angle brace on the driver side.

The DS hook on mine has a cut and rewelded bracket and both sides are anchored directly to the trailer hitch end plates, eliminating the need for the angle braces.

This shows how the PS hook is bolted to the trailer hitch:
