How hard is it to install a sliding back window? Mines Solid and found this on CL.

http://denver.craigslist.org/pts/2750569505.html

Always wanted one. Just for the option of having it and so my dog could stick his head in and say hi every once in a while.
How much time would this take and what would I need to know?
Thanks in advance.

that appears to be from a reg cab. if so, 97 and older reg cabs won't fit in an ext cab. 97 and older reg cabs = roped in gaskets. all ext cabs and 98+ reg cabs=bolted in.

Oh gotcha. So I would have to get one from an extended cab?
I believe the one on craigslist is from a 91. I have a 95 extended.

whys that? i love mine, it allows you to hardly crack your window then crack the back one and you get a great breeze going.

also helps with 5 percent tint, you can open it up and see behind you perfectly.

assuming you have a reg cab (in your sig) the above still holds true.

ext cabs will only take ext cab or 98+ reg cab windows. the ones that are bolted in. if it's from a 97 and older reg cab, it will not fit.

I dunno, mine has no issues. I love being able to crack it less than an inch, crack a window down to my window guard and get a strong wind flow
