Attaching Bed Caps help
i loaded it up with some heavy duty thick tape an it wont hold them down. i think its the sun's fault cuz when it bakes in the sun, it start bowing up. i even put a screw in the corners of the caps to hold them down but the middles still bow.
so, is their any special glue i can put on them to hold them down nice and secure to the bed. |
The most obvious question would be what type of bed caps are they?
|
I used foam weather stripping on mine to make it a tight seal, but in order to hold it in place, mine came with 6 clamps that go along the edge and clamp under the bed rail.

:bump:

Could you not just screw them in along the inside of the bed rail?
That what I did with the diamond plated ones on my old F150. |
i did but they keep bowing up on the other ends (outside of the bed)
|
is the tape not sticking to the truck or the rails?

I never liked my bed liner because it was slippery but also because it bowed in the heat. Without seeing it I am assuming that because you are in Florida, which is right next to Hades, it is too hot for the plastic, or they are defective. Did you try asking the manufacturer?

You should have went with the big plastic OEM ones. :silly: |
Have you tried strapping them tight to the bed? Maybe if they are held down long enough everything will stick?
