I am looking for a prerunner bumper for my 2000xlt. I found a pro comp, but it only fits up to a 96 model. I also found that fabtech makes a universal one but it doesn't tell the dimensions. Do you guys or gals know of a company that makes one or do you think i could make one of these work.

May look odd with a body lift though.

 

I have the Fabtech desert guard on my 03 FX4 and it fits the truck well. I'll try to get some pics soon.

How does the fabtech bar mount to the bumper? Does it already have tabs or do you have to make them? I saw it on jegs web site for $175, is there anywhere cheaper?

 

It comes with brackets that mount on the bumper but instead i fab'd up some new ones and mounted it to my frame.

I used the brackets that came with it (after I painted them). You will have to drill about 6 holes in the bumper to mount it. It seems strong after it was all done.

 

The dixon bros bumper looks like sh*t w/ a body lift i had a bl and then bought the bumper... 3 hours later the bl was off... it looked much better.....

i hate that fagtech bumper, if it is the one my freind had, it bolts to your stock bumper??
