Basic Body Painting...

Anyone know what I'd need as far as starting up my own little "paint shop" goes?

Compressor
Sand Blaster
Spray Gun(s)
Hoses
Sandpaper
Tape
Etc.

The girls I've known don't really care for the sandblaster when you paint their body.

I have been painting for 15-20 years at my house. I have painted most everything from 4x4's vans and musclecars. You can paint really cheap but you can also go all out. The fact that your asking makes wonder if you have painted before(no offense intended). You will need a place to paint thats clean. Of course all the tools... compressor, sanders( da & air file at minumum), paint gun(s), hand sanding supplies, masking supplies and probably some stuff I am not even thinking about. Here's a few pics of my work. This is what I was doing before I appeared in the ranger world.....lol

I have painted. I just want to get serious about it. Which is why I ask. Any help from wvcat, would be awesome!

Not to hijack the thread, but would it be sufficient to use a can to paint a tailgate or should it be done with a spray gun and compressor. I have the compressor and gun, but the paint is just so much more expensive for a spray gun setup.

Spray can paint will work and look ok but will not be as durable. I will also have a tendency to fade. If you prep right and maybe clear over it you may get decent results. I you go base coat-clear coat you will probably have around 100 tied up in sandpaper, paint, thinner, clear, and activtor.

Joe I would try to help you if I can.
John
