Bed Liner

I have seen a lot of people that put bed liner on their rocker panels and bumpers, but have never seen it done on something like the plastic factory fender flares and the bumper valence. I was wanting to put bed liner on mine since they're all pitted and want something a little tougher than regular paint and something that will also help cover up some surface imperfections and be resistant to minor scratches. How do you guys think that the bed liner will hold up on plastic, and also what brand/type would you go with? Bed armor/rustoleum? rattle can/roll on? etc. Thanks

Prepping is key. As long as you prep well it should hold up. On another forum a member has bed lined his truck a lot and I think he uses some stuff from lowes (I can remember what it's called). He used the roll on also.

The member has used two types of Bedliners, herculiner (black) and durabek (red). He painted his flames and bed black and he painted his rocker panels with the red durabek liner.

That does look pretty darn good. I have heard that a majority of people have had problems with using the roll-on as opposed to using the rattle can. Something about it peeling too easy, but I'm not quite sure. Thanks for the pics

I agree that prep is the key to obtain great result. Sand it, clean it and apply adhesion promoter.
