I got the ranger like this. doesn't really bother me but when ever i decide to trade her in she should look her best plus im tired of looking at this. On the bed looks like the previous owner had a cap on it and it did this. looks like they tried to touch it up with some shitty blue. its deep and goes all the way the metal. any way to smooth this out and re do it so its descent. also the truck must of been in a fender bender cause under nether the driver side rear window its dented pained with the same shitty blue then scratches going across the gas door. im not so worried about under the window since i used polish compound and it all blends together better( hardly notice the difference rather then the texture.) but the gas door really looks like **** i dont really wanna pay a paint shop to redo it. id be glad to take the time sand it and redo it myself with some guidance from here. also i didnt bother taking a pic of it but its starting to rust out around the plastic fenders in the back. what would i do there? take the fender off take out the rust and then do what i would do for the other scratches. i have look up some youtube vids but id like some one to physicly explain the best DIY Technic. I i think my best way would be to do it by brush or dabbing. not using sprays.
