2005 edge fog lights not working.
Hi guys,
I have an 05 edge 3.0, the dogs lights are not working. Probably 10 years ago my grandfather wrecked it and ripped the front bumper valance off, so it’s gone from 2010- 02/20 without a bumper or headlights. I’ve checked fuses relays and new bulbs. The fuse was blown and I replaced. I’ve tried about everything to my knowledge. Anything helps! Thanks!

I the engine bay fuse box is the fog light relay
A relay has 2 separate parts
The coil that activates the relay
The contacts that power the device, in this case fog lights
Relay pins and slots look like this: https://www.delcity.net/images/output-for-a-relay.jpg
Ignore the labels drawing is just for the numbers
85 and 86 are the coil slots
87 and 30 are the contacts
There is NO polarity
Pull out relay and test socket
85 or 86 should have 12volts, test both, try key off and then key on
30 or 87 should have 12volts test which one, this is full time 12v
Which ever one does NOT have 12v, goes to the fog light bulbs
The fog light switch is the GROUND for the coil
So if 85 has 12v then 86 will be connected to the switch, the ground, and visa versa, so turning "on" the switch grounds the coil and that activates the relay, it connects 30 and 87
If neither 85 or 86 has 12v then problem may be in the SJB(smart junction box) located with fuse panel in passenger kick panel
