best offroad light??

i plan on getting hids, and since they are great up close, i do alot of back country driving and like long distance lighting, so which lights would be wise to buy for long distance lights, i plan on mounting these in the grill

04blackedge 01-11-2009 01:34 PM

I'm a fan of KCs personally, twice the output as Hellas

jaycheetwood 01-11-2009 01:35 PM

HID offroad lights FTW.

Trigger01 01-11-2009 01:37 PM

They don't make em anymore

What about a 55W Hid Off road light? I think those would output rather nicely.

Ranger_Boi 01-11-2009 03:05 PM

kc

98liftedranger 01-11-2009 03:06 PM

The ones that turn on and make the trail brighter are the best. IMO

Ford04Ranger4.0 01-11-2009 03:27 PM

Hella's with 100 watt bulbs :)

big-blue-oval 01-12-2009 12:02 AM

lots of guys have KCs and love them.

there has been alot of interest in lightforce lights lately in my area, they're becoming really popular, but they're a little pricier.

in a perfect world, we would all have HIDs, but sooner or later cost becomes a factor for all of us. how much are you willing to spend?

GR8COM 01-12-2009 12:08 AM

I have seen the KC HIDs in use and they are AMAZING and BRIGHT. I just can't see the money for them since my truck doesn't have HID headlights.

korey89 01-12-2009 12:24 AM

I like Hella's and Procomp makes some cool ones too.

Yessick 01-12-2009 09:04 AM

ive got 4 6in procomp 100 watts fog lights and their bright as all get out! ill take a pic of them on tonight

98liftedranger 01-12-2009 09:10 AM

I have 4 hellas on my front bumper. There not wired up yet cause of the weather but I would imagine they are going to be bright.

desertrunner07 01-12-2009 10:03 AM

I have a pair of Hella Rally 4000 euro beams and a pair of Hella 500s. I love em, the 4000s are very bright, but also pretty expensive. I need them though, my stock lights suck lol.

RockysFord 01-12-2009 10:10 AM

kc ftw

mikerider 01-14-2009 11:40 PM

KC's can't beat a 23 year warranty

KC Daylighter 130w's are the best you can get.. if you can find them of course; as per what many people said up above.. UNLESS you can somehow afford the jump to the insane HID offroad lights; but here pretty soon once I fab up some stabilizer brackets.. I plan on attempting to swap my Daylighter bulbs with a 55w HID kit.

This is compliments of Shane's kickass hat on my KC's we installed many many moons ago :-)

Buy the CHEAP KC Dayliters (100w) then go buy WAGNER 4029 bulbs (they are the 150w that KC used) then swap the bulbs - Hey presto.

04blackedge 01-15-2009 03:34 PM

They're are no 55w Daylighters

big-blue-oval 01-15-2009 05:44 PM

if you are really interested in HID lights, KC makes a 70 watt HID if i am not mistaken, i would think those would bleach the paint if you tailgated someone with them on... i bet they're pricey though!

lifted_Mazda01 01-15-2009 07:09 PM

i am not interested in hid daylighters, just some offraod lights, for long distance, i plan on getting 2 inside the grill

04blackedge 01-15-2009 07:12 PM

For inside the grille just get some Hellas
