best tail light covers?

Looking to get black tail light covers for my 2001 ranger, was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on which ones are the best? Thanks

The best taillight covers are the invisible taillight covers..... IE NONE!

But if you must have darker tails, take them into a local bodyshop. Have them shoot a couple light coats of darkened clear coat. Typically a mixture of black paint and clear coat. The end result is VERY professional looking. Just don't go too dark. You'll make me and others following you want to take my 4lb BFH to them. Just say no to VHT Niteshades.

I will have to check into that, any idea about what it costs to spray the tails?

2006 or newer tail lights are preferable, go to a local hobby shop, buy the 'paint on tint' used on model cars to give darker windows. Looks awesome (check attached picture...I believe that was hobby paint if I remember correctly...I have forgotten who's truck that is but he is/was a member on this site)

If you must stick with your stock tails and must go darker, dumb IMO and I black everything I can, then id do what wannabe said.
