Icon8 big Ford oval emblems

The big oval emblem on the tailgate of my 2010 ranger fell off the other day.
It was barely hanging on and just came off in my hand.

Plus both of these emblems are shedding their plastic clear coat.
I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Thanks

Never had one fall off, but have had the clear coating peel.

both front and rear emblems on my 07 are losing their clear coat. It think that is a common problem. But they are still firmly attached. On a 2010 I'd get them replaced under warranty.

I realize prior coverage to the peeling part.

I was mainly asking about emblems falling off the tailgate,
could not find any information about this on a search.

They will be replaced soon but will the replacements be any better???

I've heard a lot of the newer ovals having issues. Most get replaced under warranty, but the replacement ones will probably do the same way after a while

Are there any holes behind the badge ?

I'd like to just do away with the one on my tailgate completely. Picked up an 04 edge grill and don't worry about the front badge anymore.

There is 3 locator holes on my tailgate,
so I would assume the grille would be the same.

If the new badges peel, and or fall off
I will cut new ovals out of 26G stainless steel
and get some stickers made or find some already made
and cover the holes that way.
