I think they're pretty cool, I seen some on a ...Cadillac escalade? ( I think ) and when they're folded up they look like part of the rocker. Pretty nifty.

Just whatever you do make SURE they are small enough. I've seen a lot on the big trucks at shows and stuff and thought that they were awesome, but way too big to fit between the frame and rocker on the Ranger. I'm not 100% sure, I didn't exactly have my tape measure right there with me.

They are cool, but I doubt you will be able to get a set to fit and work on a Ranger unless they specifically develop a set for the Ranger.

i would be afraid that if i opened the door when i was parked over something like a rock or stump that they would come down and hit it and who knows what damage that would do to the little motors it uses.

Well its like anything with the rangers...lol. Some fabrication may be required. Good points though. that is something i have thought about too. Haven't made up my mind either. I still diggin Zabeards Rock sliders!!

Yeah wouldn't that suck!! I guess IF i did get some would have to put and override switch on for situations like that.

I sell and install these and they are nice, and very easy to do. HOWEVER, there is no application for the Ranger. We just did a fleet (10) of 09 F150's and they make a great product.

As for fabricating something, I am sure it could be done. The step is pretty much a universal board, but its how the motor mounts isn't. Here is the link to the ACTUAL company website that makes these: http://www.amp-research.com/index.asp
If I can help, let me know!

Yeah i called today and talked to really nice guy there. He said it might be doable but wasn't sure if there was enough room between the cab and frame rail. So i need to do some measuring. How much to the kits run. I still may do rock sliders.

I think this would be cool on a show truck, I don't know how much I would trust it on a truck that really offroads though.
