Lights and shocks w/pics

Got some Hella 500s installed and some Rancho rs5000 shocks put on the rear. Pretty happy with the lights, for $65 bucks I cant complain. Shocks ride pretty good too.

i would recommend taking the shock boots off.....i didn't think they would hurt, but after seeing how rusted my shocks were under the boot, i will never install boots again....

Wayne if you go to Summits website, they will let you search by truck, then go to the suspension section.....they list all the Rancho shocks you will have for your truck......

Thanks. Summit did the trick. Gonna go with the adjustable ones. rs9000. I go to the track once in a while. It's good to have firm shocks to slow down the squat when launching.

Looks awesome!! Shocks ride a lot better? Did you mount the hellas with light tabs?

Just watch that driver's side shock. I had my Rancho's mounted like that and the shock tube kept hitting on the axle under acceleration. I had to turn mine where the boot was down at the bottom, not saying that it will definitely happen but just keep an eye out for a dent in the shock.

bad thing about turning a shock upside down is if the shock isn't designed to be upside down......you will not have top performance out of the shock, and could lose fluid out the top...

you really should ask the shock manufacture if their shocks can be mounted upside down...

So I installed it correctly? I dont think I could turn it around cuz the bolt on the top requires a bigger hole in the shocks. Ya it rides much better, the stock shocks were pretty much maxed out. Ya I got light tabs from underdog performance and they worked nicely.

i've been using hellas for about 22 years... for the price, they are one of the best out there.
