Bumper / fog light repaired

Well since i got my 99 ranger it originally had a bad dent in the Driver side of the bumper from the last owner. It looked like he hit some kind of yellow metal pole while parking maybe. This Dent also channeled water into the fog light filling it with water and rusting it apart.
heres how it looked http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/6...erfrontold.png and heres how it looks now < sorry lower rez cam> https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1337154751 https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1337154751 https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1337154751 You can see some ripples at this angle, this was our first time attempting to hammer a dent out and it being a bumper made it harder. https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1337154751 new fog light https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1337154751 Theres a small gap there that can allow water into new light so i filled it with rtv silicone sealant. https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1337154751 https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1337154751 Its not perfect but much better then it was and both fog work now so im happy. The bumper mount on the driver side was horribly bent we managed to fix that. Now its just pushed in slightly on that side cant really fix that without a new bumper or many washers to hide it. At least it sits level now. |
