This is kinda a teaser seeing that i wont be posting any pictures up of the process until i'm done. Included in these pictures will also be of all the new mods i've done since my last pic whoring episode. lol

aaaand done

sorry guys, gotta let the sealant cure over night. pics of the install and other mods tomorrow in the daylight after she gets a bath.

Alright... here they are.

may I ask what baking the lights do? (I've never done a headlight mod before...but would like to.)

EDIT:

wait...are you doing tht to melt the glue from the glass/plastic...whatever it is?

baking the lights heats up the (hellish) factory ford adhesive/sealant that holds the light together. IF you dont bake them, you'll never get them apart without breaking them. When it gets hot it makes the sealant rubbery and easier to work with.

Would have been funnier if you had an apron and chef hat inthe 2nd pic. Go do a retake.

i baked them at 205 degree's for 20 mins and everything went fine. although i did lose all the skin on my knuckle due to rough edges on the headlight assembly.

I did my lights and corners at 250 for 6 minutes.
popped right apart. WOOOOO
just make sure you get all that ford adhesive out of the light fixture before it cools, or you'll have a hard time getting it out completely and might not get a good seal when you put the light back together.
