Hey guys - was wondering if you have any recommendations on where I can get a reasonably priced cap/topper for my 2002 Edge. Was just looking for something I can use to haul my dogs with when so I can take them to the beach which is about an hour away on 70mph highways. I don't want to throw them in the bed while I hit the highway unless I have a topper on it. So was looking for one that has slide windows on the front and sides.

I'm here in Orlando and I think we have a Cap World. Was wondering if anyone had suggestions on any other places too. Thanks.

 

Try Craigslist. Thats your best bet for a good price.

I found an older shell (An older aluminum one) for $60 off craigslist, ya its an older shell but its in really good shape, did I mention it was $60? Look around and im sure you will find a good deal on one eventually.

dont know about availability or how much they would be, but i kmow ive seen pickups in the junkyard that came in with a cap, if theres a yard nearby it might be worth checking into.

 

 

there out there. i took me about two months to find this one on CL. just got home from picking it up as well. i paid 200 for it and its in great condition. it does show little ware and tare from the years. with this one i do need to re-key it and paint it. for a step side top 200 is damn good. good luck with your search. use CL you cant go wrong.

 

If you can wait a few weeks I'll sell you mine, I'm only about 2 hours from Orlando... Fits the regular bed not the step - Black - A.R.E. with the sliding sides and a removable front.

 

Cool - Got any pics? About how much are you willing to let it go for? I'm in no rush for it so if I can afford it, I think I'd be up for it.

 

Don't have any pics on here that I can think of, ( First time I've turned on a PC in weeks ) Wife has it at work right now but I can get a pic this weekend . I'd sell it for $500 delivered to Orlando. It isn't perfect but its not bad at all, its in need of new rubber seals on the side windows, but they hold out the water fine they just slide back and forth in the groove when you open the window .
