Cheap way to do paint job

Im go ing to be painting the old 88 ranger and want to know if someone can assist me in how to do a paint jobe ay VERY minimal cost. What type primer and paint and where to get it?

do all the body work and primering and wet sanding your self and then take it to a shop and have them spray the paint you will save $

i agree with zach. You can get an econo paint job on sale for close to what you can buy paint, thinner, hardener, etc. The key is you need to do all the prep work such as fixing dings and stuff. Primer is not necessary except where you do repairs and the spray can stuff is fine.

I set up my garage to paint my vw and it came out good. It took a lot of work to convert it into a paint booth, though.

if the paint on there is still good, just sand it with piece of 320 or higher sandpaper until it's smooth. then when you fix the dings just primer over them and sand until smooth again. then go to maaco

Go to Auto Zone and get about 15 cans of that truck paint.
