POLL: Color match or chome the side mirrors?

So what do ya'all think? Color match or chome the side mirrors?

I'm leaning towards the chrome to compliment the bumper, billet steps, and door handles, but then again, I don't want to overdo it.

EDIT: Damn...I forgot to add the poll before I submitted. Just post your replies. Thanks in advanced

personaly they look good black but that might just be me....

i think color match would look the best, because chrome would draw your eyes to them and it might stand out to much....

You can buy chrome accents for the mirrors, same as the door handles. Same company, Putco on Ebay.

Sully, that's a good idea....base color matched, mirrors chromed...hmmm...

Color matched is my vote. Chrome would be too much.
And this is coming from a guy with chrome addiction.

Color matched would look sweet. The way you have it now with the chrome edge decal, billet step, and handle looks great. If you did put the chrome on the mirrors i would do it after it was painted to match, that would look pretty sick.

Wayne, are you talking about what Gay-briel posted? Half color, half chrome or just the base colormatched and complete chrome mirror?

The half and half, TFP chrome covers idea is starting to grow on me...

Colormatched gets my vote. I think adding chrome accents on top of that might be too busy.

yes. Paint the mirrors sonic blue, then add the chrome covers. I don't think it is too busy. Everyone would agree that the mirrors "should" be color matched from the factory, but they aren't. Blue paint, with black mirrors with chrome cover seems busy. You're taking out one of those by removing the black.

Bottomline we won't know until we see an example.

Another factor is you don't have to be so carefull on the painting if you know part is gonna be covered with the chrome.

Wayne, can you get your hands on the door handle chrome covers at all? I'd rather buy from you than trust E-bay

I'm working on it. I can get them down under what they have them for on E-bay. I am in the process of finalizing a stock order. I'm going through all the different Ranger related items they have and am convincing myself to spend the $$'s to get in bed with these people.

Ok, here's the plan. Color matching them for sure..no question. I'll get the chrome accents that cover half because I think they look less busy than the full cover. It's the best of both worlds.

If they look crappy, I can easily take the covers off and it'll still look good color matched.

Stay tuned folks. Just gotta get my butt to the basement and start sanding.

Color match with the chrome cap that would look so sweet it is making me want to do it. To bad I have no chrome so it prolly wouldn't look to good.
