01xltranger4x4 did it. Maybe he'll chime in, or shoot him a PM.

I have thought about doing this as well, I have painted my SOHC cover and am about to paint the outside of my K&N FIPK intake tube to match my deep wedgewood blue exterior I do think that painting the mirrors to match would look really good as well.

If you cant get paint from ford go to a local paint shop and give them your color code they can mix you a can or two

I replied to JaxRanger's PM, but I'll reply in here too.

I painted them myself (spray gun) 3 years ago, and they turned out great. Painting is mostly in the prep work. Unfortunately my paint didn't match 100% so last summer i had them professionally re-painted and they match much better.

If i were to do it over again i would just have them professionally done the first time.

Hope that helps.

what did it cost you to get them done professionally

It was 100 bucks to get them re-painted, but that is just wet sanding them and laying down a new base coat/clear coat.

It would of been more for them to have to smooth out the textured finish, but i already did that myself.

I think there is a good chance I may be doing my own prep work and making this mod happen for my truck. I think it looks a lot cleaner and I like it a lot
