hey guys, I tried searching but could not find anything. I am wondering if anyone has cut their mud flaps off, like cut the flares off flush with the body. to clarify I have a 99 ranger extended cab 4x4 with the factory flares that run down into mud flaps that droop down like 8 feet. Also, can someone tell me how to get the bed off? My truck was hit from behind and it bent the back part of the frame rails. I want to pull it off and try to straighten them out so my tow hitch mounts properly. Thanks for your help!

Bed comes off with the bed bolts and the gas filler neck. Pull all those out and the bed can be lifted off.

Can't help you with the mudflaps... Newer rangers have different flaps than the older ones.

 

So there is no secret to the bed? And how does the filler neck come off? Does the harness going to the rear unplug?

 

no secret to the bed, just undo the bed bolts, unplug the lights, and take off the hose clamp for the fuel filler. And while your at it go ahead and put in a BL since its gonna be apart anyway. Post some pics too.

 

x2 there should be 3 bolts holding on your mudflaps, they'll come off in 30 seconds. best mod ever.
