Anyone do any of of their own fiberglass work? I'm really debating trying to make a custom valance for my truck (yeah I know add it to the ever growing list of projects) but I'm trying to get some information on it. I just don't like any of the aftermarket valances and think they are all too much money.

I know I'd have to make a mold first I think. I have a spare bumper laying around which I could use so that won't be hard, but I'm wondering if Styrofoam will be good enough to make the valance mold out of it.

Then if I understand my procedure right... it's resin and Glass Fabric over and over again to make the mold Fiberglass Mold. But then do I simply smooth out the inside of the mold and start over again to create the real valance?

I'm going to doing a lot of searching the net for resources today so we'll see what I can find. Figured I'd ask you guys first though.
