Deep Scratches/chips

What should I do about these chips/scratches? I don;t have the money to get the professionally fixed, so I'm thinking bed rail protectors to cover them until I can get them fixed or have the bed rails covered with truck bed liner.

ouch those look nasty!!!! haha

you could fill them with bondo, sand them down and find a paint thats close to your original paint and touch them up, or you could get some bed rail covers.

those are nasty.. get some rail covers it will be cheaper then if you were to repair it properly.

you could just buy some touchup paint and give it the slumlord swing like most people do. Lol.

either way, you should put something on them, to protect the metal from rust and the surrounding paint from further damage.

carwax,paint,rail covers, anything like that.

Yeah...I don't like rust. My truck is literally 100% rust free and has very little on the under body and frame. That's very rare for Michigan so I want to keep it 100% rust free.

yes rail covers

The rail covers will just hold moisture in those cracks, probably causing rust faster more than likely. If it were me, I'd hand sand the tops of the bedsides and get some good brand name roll on bedliner. Cover the insides of the bed and the tops of the rails.

GB :)

I'd do the same.
