emblem on billet grille
I want to put a Ford emblem on my billet grille, but im not sure how I want to mount it. any thoughts? basically what i'm asking is....how am I gonna get it to stay there?
some type of epoxy is all I can think of right now.....but its early lol |
Why don't you get one off of a stock grill that has the threaded plastic stems and mount it just like stock.
Well mine had nipples on it that wedged tightly into the grille. So I put epoxy on the nipples and stuck them in and it's never moved.
3M double sided Automotive tape. it will hold fine.
I used black silicone- seen in my avatar. I used blue tape to hold it on overnight while it dried.
I have a billet emblem that was on the old truck that has two screws to hold it on. Its for sale if you want it.

2 Attachment(s)
i've had a couple different types on my billet
stock 2001 ranger emblem Attachment 206275 2000-2003 taurus emblem Attachment 206276 the stock one had threads on it, so thats how it stayed on,a nd the taurus one i had positioned the zip ties in such a way that they were hidden |
double sided tape is easiest and non permanent
I used the 3M trim tape and it worked great.
just take the stock one off and run the stems through the billet grill and then tightn'm down... more reliable then tape not as permanent as like glue...
no sir i dont like it.
i took my emblem off a stang the little oneand put it in the left hand bottom corner i used douoble sided foam tape its been on for about 2months now hasnt moved once
Thanks guys. I'm still pondering if I want to actually put one on. I haven't decided yet.
