i have the old emblems, but i want to change them up a little.
i know shane did some interesting work trying to DWB his emblems to match but i want to paint the black part around the chrome lettering white,

what do you guys think, should i try and do it or just not waste my time with masking and prep?

im gonna mask off the chrome and just rattle can it, i snagged 2 emblems at the junkyard to fool around with so if they dont come out, i havent removed my orignal emblems or messed them up

 

good idea lol.. def. put up pics.. i want to see how it looks.. i prob. wont do it to mine because the whole theme of my truck is white with black, but it should look sick on your truck

 

well my whole theme is white and blue.. hence the blue hids's/ signal & reverses and blue interior paint.. and the blue guages lol, im in the middle of masking the first one, ill put up pics in a little

 

hmmm. maybe you should do blue where the black is and white ranger decals or white where the black is and blue where the chrome is?

 

hrm .. those are some good ideas, althought painting the chrome would be a pain after painting the black, because id have to reverse mask it ,im lazy..and im not the best masker lol

 

You should take off that pin stripe sticker before you do anything else lol

I thought about doing my badges chrome on red background, but the more I looked at it, the more I realized how long it would take...and lost interest. Plus, baby mama don't like me working on the truck all day long...

 

well my i dont have a baby so i have no nagging wench to nag me

 

the blue tape actually gives me an idea of what it would look like if i acetoned it then painted the letters blue

 

you would not have to reverse mask! just paint the whole thing blue, or whatever color you want the letters, then mask the letters and paint the rest of it.

 

yea, with two emblems i can try anything i want.. ill try that method after i get done masking this one off

that too casper.. im also going to attempt a ford emblem color change to white from blue this weekend aswell!

 

i agree with korey take off the pinstriping haha it reminds me of like a 500 year old man's truck haha and yes i said 500.

okay so an old man did have it before you lol so de-oldman the b***h and take off the pinstriping, get a new tip or just cut off the exhaust paint your emblems and call it a day
