Exhaust Tips?
Hey everyone, I've gotta quick question.

My dad just bought a new muffler for his truck (Magnaflow) & we're looking for some tips. His drives an '06 F-150 Crew Cab 4x2 with a 4.6. What kind of exhaust tips do you think would look good on this kind of truck?

I don't really like the slash cut tips since everyone has them. I was thinking about a flat tip?

BTW: It's a SI/DO ... 2.5" In & Out

my buddy has some intercooled tips on his 5.3 chevy and they are just the round ones with no slash and they are pretty coiol

How bout "No Tip" :biggthump

just have the pipe turned down just after the muffler....that will result in a sick sound. Should look like this when you are done:

EdGe_wannabe 04-15-2007 04:14 PM

haha. I wish we could do that, but he wants duals out the rear.

tekrsq 04-15-2007 05:22 PM

I like mine. They are short, but I've seen some that were about 12" long. They would look good on a full size rig.

Ranger00 04-15-2007 07:19 PM

slash is the only way to go ona duel imo

Trigger01 04-15-2007 08:27 PM

I say some rectangle tips, like Chevy Camaro tips.

Anything with a rolled edge will look good.

GrafixGuy 04-15-2007 10:01 PM

what about a superduty look... with like 5" chrome round tips...

Sonic04Edge 04-15-2007 10:49 PM

since the new f150's went back to more of a square look this is what i'd get.

EdGe_wannabe 04-16-2007 05:20 AM

Yea, I was also thinking about rolled. I also like those that you posted Sonic. Those look wicked!

Redneckstone 04-16-2007 06:26 AM

Go with the Thunderbolt tips (ie. these).

htjunkie 04-21-2007 10:58 AM

I've also been thinking about putting duals on my Ranger. What kind of sound do you guys get with these?

Redneckstone 04-21-2007 11:25 AM

vrrrm grumble grumble grumble vrrrrm grrr vrrrrrrm rummmmmmmmm

htjunkie 04-21-2007 11:32 AM

what color truck?? Black truck with black bumpers etc......get 3.5" black stainless tips....they'd look sweet. of course, a flat tip without roll. That's my style.

GrafixGuy 04-21-2007 11:07 PM

I dunno has gotta be bigger than 4" the new chevies come with a big ole 5" muffler, they sound loud too...

EdGe_wannabe 04-22-2007 10:13 AM

It's 2 tone. Like a red on top w. a goldish bottom.

I know you said you didnt like angle tips but i have them on mine and love it ... they are a rolled tip, 6 inch by 18 inch (granted i have a diesel so you might just want a 5 inch tip)

I'm personally not a fan of the rolled tips, I like the sharper edges

EdGe_wannabe 04-22-2007 08:15 PM

Well, we ended up getting a rolled boxy-looking tip. It looks real clean. Sounds even better!
