Can two people lift a camper shell?

I bought a fiberglass camper shell on ebay and I'm going over the weekend to pick it up. I just need to know if two people could pick it up. The guy I bought it from says it weighs 300-400lbs, but I didnt really think they were that heavy. This is it... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ford-...08987792QQrdZ1

You should be able to move it around be yourself by just putting it on your back from the inside, but it isn't easy, and very ackward. When I take mine off, I usually lift it off the truck on my back, and get someone to slide 2x6s under it, between the bed and the cap, then get one of my neighbors to help me move it backwards and down onto the ground. If your a bigger guy and/or in shape, your shouldn't have any problems, otherwise, get some more people to lift it on/off the truck bed.

Also, I think mine is over 200, but I also have the rack on top too.

Weight of fiberglass toppers (camper shells or caps) for Ranger:

Manufacturer and weight:

ARE 130 lbs.
Century 150 lbs.
20th Century Fiberglass 150 lbs.

Fiberglass toppers by other manufacturers should be about the same weight. I used to have a Glasstite fiberglass topper I bought new for a new Toyota pickup. A friend and I easily lifted it onto the truck.

My brother and I were barely able to lift my topper onto the truck, but my bro is a little guy, and my topper is a ****ing honker...

mine is ~150 lbs and my dad and i were able to remove the camper off of my truck. My dad's an old little asian man (i love my dad!) and i'm not too big of a guy myself. So it's not too hard.

Just be really careful

How the hell would you do that? Simple there seems to be no way to lift it off w/o scratchiing the hell out of something.

Its just awkward with two people, not too heavy. 4 people, 1 at each corner, makes it a cinche, but I've put them on a truck with only 2 people many times (my dad has one that he only puts on when he needs it, its an ugly black-painted aluminum one with a texture on it that looks like it belongs on a garden shed.)
