I think it looks good either way, you've got a nice truck. Do whatever makes ya feel good inside, and doesn't make you bust your *** getting in/out of the truck.

Thanks John!! Yeah I think they were more for looks. The only reason I took em off is b/c I used the passenger side as a rock slider when we went wheelin at Union Grove. Oh well, better the nerf bar than the rocker panel...

It just gave me an excuse to take em off anyways. To me it gives the impression that it is sitting higher than it did with the nerf bars.

Why dont you look into some custom rock sliders then? They look badass and in your case that might actually be useful.

Yeah I have a good friend who just happens to be a prof. fabricator told me that as long as I paid for the materials he would fab me some up. And yeah they would come in handy. This is my daily driver but I do wheel in it often. Nothing hardcore. Just to git out and flex a lil bit. Anyone have any pics of some that is already on a Ranger? I need some pics to look at to see what kind of design to go with.

Thanks for all yalls opinions. If the truck was auctually lifted I could see in keeping them for the purpose they were intended, but it may be another year before I can afford a suspension lift. So for now, they are stayin off.

i agree with the no nerfbar look. but i kept mine on cause i'm too lazy to take that extra step up w/ my lift. those rock sliders look great. look into doing rear tube bumper to match? (truck on far right)

Tim thats a badass pic, I'd hate to be a Yota or S10 comin through there...
Here is a pic of a set of rock sliders that my bossman fabd up for a Jeep. This is kinda like the design Im probably gonna go with. Eventually I plan on taking all the chrome off my truck and replace it with powdercoat black, chrome looks good, but Im going for an offroad look, not flashy.

After installation we used a high lift jack to see if these would support the weight of the rig, and they worked like a charm. I love the look of tube bumpers, I hope one day soon I can have a set front and rear fabd up.

you need to check out Dixonbrosracing.com for a front tube bumper. thats where i got mine from. it bolted straight on, and they did a great job with the powder coat! i dont do any rock crawling in south fl for side rock sliders.
