If I were to want to paint my grille surround from chrome to red so it matches, will I have to completely get rid of the chrome?

 

Yes but they make a paint/primer type spray that you can get but i dont remember what its called right now but it like bites into chrome and makes it paintable. Or you can scuff the hell out of it. I did both on my rear bumper i buy that was chrome

 

Damn. I may just buy a new one lol. On my old truck I just had to scuff the clear and spray since it was already painted. I got lucky. Ah this sucks lol

get a 300 grit pad.

 

Or a good woman that could suck the chrome off a trailer hitch, it would probably work on grille too lol

 

That would be overkill lol. Just gonna buy a new grille.

 

Adhesion promoter and paint it with clear. Whats the problem with that?
