I totally agree with Zach.
I had an Extang Black Max on my F-150 for about 4 years & when I went to a hard cover it was still like new.
I now have the Extang FullTilt Tool Box Tonneau Cover on my Ranger & in my opinion make the best soft tonneaus you can buy.

Only Pic I can find of my Ranger with the Access Tonneau. www.accesscovers.com
Here's my current set up. Access Toolbox Edition, Delta Pro Toolbox, and Bedrug
Lower Profile tonneau's Access Lorado, and Truxcedo Lo-pro, and Access has on their site a very low profile Vanish as they call it.

The toolbox edition cover, came with some trail seal for the front of the toolbox, to seal thatup, and the header bar (2nd to last pic) has rubber there to seal against the back of the toolbox. With the Bedrug though I didn't feel I could put it there without pushing the toolbox too far back, but I could have after I had everything in place. will only have small amounts of water getting in the corners of the tonneau when washing. Other wise it looked to be a nice sealed up setup. A dirt road and car wash will tell me what gets wet, so time will tell.

Frank, check out Craftec http://www.craftecinc.com/. I looked a long time for one that was flat (no "covered wagon" look) and did not set up much above the bed. It is hinged. Really happy with mine.

Well, I just bought one for $310 shipped. I hope it fits my truck...my bed is exactly 6 feet long from front wall to tailgate, but if you count from the outside of the bed back towards the tailgate, it adds an inch. This factored into my truck not being able to use a "standard" topper, at least according to the company I bought it from. Anyhow, the Extang looked like an awesome product. I bought the snapless version.

I think personal preference and what you use it for has alot to do with best tonneau. Some people love caps, some people hate caps. Myself, I'm not a big fan, but I am a big fan of soft tonneau's that could roll up in hurry. I am an avid outdoorsman, and I THINK it would just be a pain to have to keep removing a hard tonneau anytime I wanted to take a four wheeler, dirt bike, or snowmachine out somewhere. At least with a soft tonneau, you could roll it up to the front or what not. Then again, I know nothing about them, so I'm going to end this post...now.
