Bull bar on '08

I need something to mount some off road lights on the front of my truck so I was considering the westin bull bar.

My question: will this fit properly on the 2008? Ive seen pics of these mounted on 06-08's and it looks like the valance is too low. I dont want to modify the valance and i dont want it to bend around the bull bar.

Anyone have any experience with the fit?

I've got one on my 06... for now. I'll be getting rid of mine eventually for something that doesn't make my clearance even worse. Its mounted using 98-00 brackets. Clears, barely with out hitting, but my lights smash on the tow hooks if the bar gets hit.

I really like the truck that Shane posted, and those brackets are gonna be a lot cheaper than a bullbar.

I would....but....don't really want to.

Underdog performance sells nice lite tabs....i actually used those dimentions, and made my own mounts for my truck...in the normal lite tab spo0t. But.....on Cory's truck, he didn't have the right mounting spot becasue those are bumper covers.....so i improvised...

The tow hook bolt that is horizonal, parallel to the ground.....got a longer one, bolted it into the hook, added a spacer nut, then the bracket(installed upsidedown compared to the normal mounting location for the tab), then another nut to tighten the bracket down. Might need to cut/grind away some of the plastic that you can't see to properly bolt the bracket down.

I'll post better pics, and will make a "PAINT" drawing to better show what i'm trying to say.....but i'm 100mi from home on my brothers computer.
