I would do it flat black. youre gonna need clear corners to do the corners though as it wont show up through the amber like you have.

I used gloss black, next time i'll use flat black though. I used OEM 06 corners for mine.

Aftermarket clear corners seem to be made of a different plastic and have a reputation for cracking or melting easier than factory parts. The 06+ Ranger factory corners are mostly clear but have the small amber reflector required by the DOT. I gave my headlights and corners the satin black treatment. I would agree that the corners were more difficult than the headlights.

I had to heat them twice for 10 minutes at 190F to get them to fully separate. The background and the rim of the clear lens were then painted satin black before reassembly.

You can skip painting the rim if you want but it leaves a whitish halo effect that looks different from the headlights.

Thats the man that got me to do mine. I thought the corners were really easy, the plastic is more easily messed up though so you have to be careful. I broke a set of eBay clear corners trying to mod them for someone else, I know other members have done the same.
