x2...I have the $150 Kobalt and its not the srongest thing, but it works good for me because I just wanted to clear some things out of the cab, so it wont see any heavy duty use.

The only thing I can add is watch the thickness of the metal used.
Some of the boxes are made from .065 Aluminum, that is pretty thin and if you get one you will need to line the whole box.
If possible and if money is available buy one with either a min of .095 or better yet .125 (⅛”) aluminum.
The ⅛” walled metal box will hold up so much better.
I looked around for a box that would fit in the Steppie Bed, finally found one with 1’8” metal, but in the process I found a lot of the less expensive units are really thin metal, so as they say, “LET THE BUYER BEWARE”.

weatherguard's are really nice....Delta are junk IMO...i have one and it works fine but it is definitely not a good quality box.....im constantly having to bend the pins on the lid that go in the latch down because they get bunt up over time from closing...and they arent very strong on top...if u sit on it or any thing it will bend in and possibly leave a big dent in the top...like mine. the whole top is bowed in and collects water. also i belive u could easily get in to it...i havent tried cause i dont want to brake it but i sure feels like u could...also the weatherguards are very hard to get into...look on youtube..there is vids of people trying to get into them and they cant...also highway products and protech make nice boxes.

on another note.. i've heard good things about UWS, i think thats where i'm ordering my box from when i actually pull the trigger on it.

t5cents is right. Weatherguard is the best toolbox you can buy. They are spendy, however.
I'm an electrician with over 2k in tools that I keep in my toolbox.
Why would I put 2000$ worth of tools in a 100$ box? My tools are my livelihood. Weatherguard are the toughest, strongest built, and safest aluminum boxes.

Thanks for all the replies so far. I was actually looking into a delta one, but guess ill back away from those. I can get a couple if i order through work from companies for deals. I know one of the brands was weather gaurd so most likely getting that one, (from a place called cap it).
Thanks t5cents, didn't even know they were weathergaurds until looking more into it and good to know they are one of the better ones.
Scrambler82, ill keep the thickness's in mind, got it written down for some notes.
thanks again tho!..am liking the pics too..

actually i just realized i lied.. i see cap it has weather guard but i was quoted on a different box.. so ill find out the name again and look into the thickness's.
thanks tho so far..
basically between delta or a uws?? Im guessing go for the uws,.. couple ppl mentioned they are decent? If i find more choices ill post but those are the two name brands for now.
Wings lids or the single lid?
Sorry for all the questions just like hearing the options out there..

I just want a box to get junk off the floor in my back seat.. Like ratchet straps, my hitch, jumper cables, work clothes/rags,be able to toss ammo and possibly guns in it etc.. I got a truck with a back seat so i could carry more people than the ranger......... for a reason.
On that note I don't want a junk box, but at the same time i don't want to break the bank.. The UWS' don't seem too unreasonable, looked like 250.. What do the Weatherguards go for?
there's one on display down here
