got my step bars on...factory

well just picked up a set of step bars think they look ok ,oh and thanks mike for giving yours to chris.....but a least these dont say mazda...

wtf thats suppose to mean paul? haha.. mine don't say mazda anymore.. i got 1/4" steel plate made up now to replace the plastic! haha

Im not a fan of step-bars but on your truck they look pretty nice.

doing a good job of it too .. trust me u don't know hom much work i have to do to mikey's to get all the rust off and to re-paint the brackets/bars.. with the newer ones u got a better deal

they look great and your truck is coming along very nice, good work man

the only thing thats throwing me off is that rollpan. i kinda like the factory bumper better for a lifted truck, but nonetheless, it all looks good

ya no rust on these babys came off an 06 ...still like new.

i worked my *** off this morning and i've only got 1.5 brackets un rusted.. i've got a project that'll last me through the weekend

Me likey!! Can't wait to get done converting my 2dr '07 bars into 4dr bars!! I hate my 05 and older style bars...soooo fat looking!!

Paul! Your truck looks damned meaty with those bars added on; blacking out a ranger with a topper like that, and that nice touch of the polished rim wheels looks fantastic.. this is making me more and more want to add a topper to my rear..!

How do the factory bars mount? I was looking for some decent factory bars but finally bought some aftermarket ones. The way they mount is you remove the cab mount bolt which is a PITA, then install a new longer bolt. After that you bolt the mounting bracket to the bottom of the cab mount. This seems to give the bars a lot of flex cause they're mounted to the bottom of the rubber bushing. Is this how factory ones mount? I'm tempted to make a kicker brace that'll bolt to the back of the bar mounts and run over to the frame so they cant flex as much.

What brand bars did you get? I have westins and they didn't mount like that.
