ive got a 2000 ranger 4wd xlt, and was wondering if i put a grille guard or a bull bar on it if i have to take off my skid plate. Thanks

 

that depends, if you put a bulbar from westin automotive, than they come with a skid plate. Now if your skid plate is not attached to the frame rails behind your bumper, you should have no problem bolting up your grille guard

 

Any of the ones I looked at said it had to be removed. I ended up with the Westin Safari bar and it would have to be removed to put it on, but mine was already taken off by then.
