Painting exterior door handles???
So im paintin my grill right now and i was woundering has anyone painted there door handles after they've faided?? Im just using the duplicolor black trim spray. I was woundering if it would hold up since the handles get handled so much?? Any help would be great.

It shouldn't be a problem i don't think. If i was going to do it i would sand them down first, adhesion promoter, then black or whatever color then a couple of coats of clear. Trim paint should work. The handles get used a lot on the underside not so much the top.
EDIT: When my tailgate handle broke off we painted it with rustoleum satin black cause we attempted to fix it. It was only on for a few days but it didnt wash off or anything.

I believe the door handles are riveted on so it would be difficult to take them off and put them on. You would have to paint them on the truck and mask off for overspray. I don't know much about that paint but if you use a good primer and adhesion promotor with a good clear coat, it should be fine. Just don't scratch it with your keys.
