Need Bumper Help!!!

I have a 2000 Ranger XL (2WD) and the front bumper needs replaced (rust).

I am planning on replacing it with a chrome bumper from a 2WD XLT.

My question is, will these two swap out correctly? and what the heck is a "pad hole"?
I can find 2 options for replacement bumpers, with and without "pad holes". Are they refering the the plastic valance below the bumper?

Thanks for your help. I'd sure like to get my little baby back to the way it was.

Most bumpers have a rubber bumper pad. Even if you have a bumper pad now, if you choose, you can get the bumper without pad holes, and not put the pad back on. If you get the one with holes and you don't put the pad on, you'll have stupid looking holes.

Anyone have a picture of a Ranger bumper pad? I want to use the valance from my current bumper, but am unsure if we are talking about different things.

Thanks!

This is a 94 with a bumper pad. The pad is the rubber piece on the chrome bumper. Not sure about 2000s. I couldn't find a pic of a 2000 with a bumper pad. You probably don't have one.

Thank you very much. That clears things up for me. You are correct, my Ranger does not have that piece (probably why I didn't know what the retailers were talking about).

So it looks like I need a chrome bumper without pad holes.

Wish me luck and thanks again!
