help me quick!
im installing my recon line of fire right now, well attempting to. but as i went to removbe my tailgate, the bolt that held in the passenger side cable for the tailgate snapped in half. i need to get it out of there! ALSO! on the driver side of the tailgate, the lower bolt is threaded (idk why its already been threaded) and i need to get it off. i have to leave for work at 3!

It doesn't take any tools to remove the tailgate.
The cables have larger loops with a spring clip that fit over the bolt heads, you might have to pry the clip lightly with a key. Then just open the tailgate less than 1/2 way open and lift. One side has a keyway, the other doesn't, so lift on each side. I can't remember for sure, but I think the left comes up.
My 83, 2 93's and 2000 have all been that way.
Sounds like you're gonna need a screw extractor to get that broken bolt out, but you can still "shut the tailgate and go to work".

Hmm, why did you have the take the bolt out? The wire should slip out with its connector thingy (ie: one side is larger allowing you to slip over the bolt).
OK, you got to work at 3, run to the store and get a bolt extractor kit, anywhere from $20 to $100 depending on how many pieces you want. Your probably gonna need to drill, so make sure you have some good bits to drill into steel, or pick some up while your there. Instructions should come with the kit.
