Herculined the bed (pics)

Herculined the bed. the pics arent that great but they will do. it was a pain to do, but it was a lot better then spending $500+ like some places told me for a spray in

after with new bed caps:

You don't keep a bed long enough to spend any money on it. lol. Couldn't help it.

Having done roll on and spray in, I'd spend the $30 for the spray gun needed to spray it. It's well worth the aggravation of rolling it on.

i think its worth it, i had a $75 gift card for autozone so i only paid $25 for it, so i think it was worth it

it took about 2-3hrs for the first coat cuz you have to cut in and stuff, then probally another 1-2hrs for the 2nd coat.

looks really good, I am interested in how well it holds up. I did mine with the Duplicolor kit, and it scratches so easily and then flakes off right around the scratch. If this one works a lot better then I might redo mine

Drop in bedliners suck and a thing of the past. My truck came with a drop in and i always think about getting rid of it for a sprayed in one.

yea, sprayed ones totally own the drop in ones. the dealer asked if i wanted a drop in one. i said no, i'll be buying a spray in liner later. for the first few months, i was careful and didn't really have anything in my truck bed. then, they scuff it all up to spray it all on.

ya, bed liners suck, b/c of the heat, mine was kinda bowing out over the rails and that was annoying me.

as for those caps, got them from summit
they are the brand Wade, ribbed style with no holes, and got the smooth one for the tailgate. the tape that comes with it doesnt hold so i put small screw on the inside of the bed to hold em down, cant even see em. and im happy with those too. cant beat 92 bucks for all 3 pieces!

I prefer the line x, but any spray in better than a drop in!

Also, you should have taken the bed bolts out before coating the bed.

forget to mention, i taped up the bed bolts so that what you see in the pics. i took the tape of and hit some black spray paint on the bolts so they blend in.

Those caps look great! I'm liking your caps more than my Bushwacker caps!

I can't justify a $500 spray-in, or a drop-in, or heck..even a do-it-yourself one. I love my 1/2" rubber bed mat. lol. I've had spray-in in the past...but had the issue of stuff moving around back there...no issues like that with my $20 craigslist bedmat
