You guys doing this with projector housings or just stock?? I am VERY interested.

 

Stock housings man. All you need to do is adjust them properly and you wont blind anyone.

Actually, Because they are a dual bulb unit the spacing of each bulb the give you a true high low beam and no aiming required. everything you see in my photos were stock.

I have driven by accident with my highs on and no flashing. The highs actually aim a little high and the lows are a little low.

 

if you think about it its very sim. to 9007 halogen setup...

 

I think i just figured it out, if the bult came out of the housing a quarter of an inch it would adjust the beam battern. but would need to cnc an adapter.

 

Would it make the much of a difference? If so CNC me some! Haha.

I have video and pictures copying to my computer as I type this. I have to edit them then post.

Video doesn't really show how bright they are. I was going to use my actual video camera but the batteries were dead so I used my digital camera instead.

I can tell the flipping between high and low...but the camera can't pick up on the distance of being in high beam. Take a look at the trees on the right hand side of the road...lightin' 'em up! Thanks soooo much for posting a vid. Do you always drive the truck like that? If you do, i respect you and love that you tell her who's boss!! lol.

 

YA...no crap! I'm totally going to get one of these now...after seeing these pics...the closeups...the vid....oh HELLL YEAHHHH.

Question is.... i wonder how much a different K bulb would run me....like replacements so i can continue my winter bulb and summer bulb deal. lol.

 

I've had the telescoping 9007 HID's for a while now. I bought mine in august 2007, no problems.

I don't always drive the truck like that, but I figured I'm taking a video, I might as well get on it! I charged the battery on my actual video camera last night so maybe if I go somewhere tonight I'll take it along and see how it does with the night time shooting.

I run 6000k and so far it seems to light everything up nicely. Through blizzard conditions it works relatively well and clear night are awesome. I need to take a video of this road I drive down every once in a while. 100ft pine trees on each side for about 3 miles. You can really get a good idea of light output on the highs.

 

cool vid, but like previously mentioned, the camera doesnt pick up the distance of the high beams very well. if the video camera shows it better, i might just have to pick up a set of these. im tired of no high beams lol

 

Just take our word's for it... They have good distance, Although I have thought about changing out the the ballast for the high beam to a 50watt ballast

 

Is the bottom picture a picture of the housing where you removed the notches allowing you to turn the lights 90 degrees?

And did you turn them clockwise of counter-clockwise 90 degrees?

Do both lamps burn in High Beam?

Now I'm seriously contemplating going HID soon. I also want to go HID with my fogs if I do. Do you guy sknow if they have 2500k HIDs? I'd like to stay with the yellow.

2500k for my fogs and 8000k for my headlights.
