Here are some suggestions....

ONLY buy from a US seller that has a US Warehouse. That way you don't need to ship stuff to china/thailand/japan or whatever if something should go wrong.

Here's where i bought my kits from:

YESSIR!

Oh...and i'll add...

Generally, the cheaper the kit, the cheaper the gas in the bulb....I steer away from those $80shipped kits. I like having German ballasts too.

Rjinator, All you need is the $75 kit from eBay on your truck. You already have the reflector housings so they'll look good! I have the 3000k HIDs in my foglights (the $75 ones) and I can't complain! They do what they're told!
Vansnxtweek, If you're gonna put them on your 2000 though dude you should seriously look at getting a reflector housing to just replace your head light... Leave the corners... But the headlights get the diamond cut reflector housings... I had those on my 2000 (my 4300k HIDs) and they were bright, but the glare was horrible... I even got pulled over for them on my 2wd only being lifted 6in with 33's...

I love my HIDs though... I'll never drive again with out them! I'll always make sure I have the reflector housing.

Here's the ebay link to reflector housings for your truck http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-...spagenameZWDVW

Although the pics aren't coming in so I can't tell if they're the straight through housings or the ones with the reflectors... But you definitely want the diamond cut ones.

Matt I posted in a thread describing the colors of HIDs... I don't know where it is though... You might have to go through the HID threads... It may have been one of them that got locked out

No....the SELLER must be in the United States. The ballasts i have are made in Germany and come in the kits in the link myself and you posted.

I have 6000k currently, but also have 4300k bulbs. You really wanna stick with under 8000k. I love my 6000k, just the right amount of white vs. blueish. Plus, I was following a buddy of mine and he said he thought a Benz or Bimmer was behind him, then i passed him and was surprised that it was me and my ford ranger. lol....Here's a pic of my truck next to Trevor's....

Left: 6000k headlamps(Me)
Right: 4300K headlamps, 3000k foglamps(Trevor)

9007 for the headlight and if you do the fog light mod you can run 9004s in your fogs like I have... I didn't do the mod, it was already done on my truck when I bought it, I just bought the 9004 HIDs and ran them... 6000k is a good choice... Anything more than that and you're only buying them for the color, which defeats the purpose of HID lighting! Glad I can help Matt!

There's not much glare, and I choose to not start that in this thread.

I have a 9007 4300k hi/lo kit...the same kit(different color) that 07SPORT got. Paid $120 shipped off ebay.....but.....my brand new ran for 1 day hi/lo kit will be for sale on here soon....

www.vvme.com is a good store. That's where I and everyone else on my Subaru forum gets them. They have the bixenon ones that have hi/low telescoping ones for a good price.

Do your hi-lo have a funky second bulb on them?? i saw some that had what looked like another bulb stacked on top of the other.

Those are a dual kit.. It's the true Hi/lo kit... The others are just a solenoid that changes the angle of the beam but come with one gas charged bulb...

Only thing thats keeping me from doing it is with me being lifted I dont want to blind oncoming drivers. How do yall get your HIDs to pass the inspection? Take them out and put your factory headlamps back in?

Here in Oregon, we don't have that yearly inspection that ya'll in other states have. But I've seen people get the hi/lo kits so that they pass inspection in thier state that requires hi/lo function headlights.

My Hi/Lo kit, as well as a couple other members here, it's a true HID hi/lo kit. No halogen bulb there or nothing. A solenoid kicks the hid bulb up and down, thus full HID and making hi/lo.
