I'm going to do the same mod think. I've been kicking it around for awhile and I think I'm going to finally pull the trigger on it. This might sound stupid, but can I use the factory headlight housings or will I melt them?

I have that same quesition. Can I just take my old bulbs out and put the HID's in or do I have to get a different housing?

Nope been there with my quad. Installed some 65watt HID bulbs and they melted my casing. Damn that was a expensive screw up.

from what i've heard and seen, the HID bulbs actually burn cooler than their halogen counterparts.

Same here Cody....did that with the Raptor. Expensive screw up.

I've heard they run cooler also but wasn't sure if it was true.

And Kevin, could you post some pictures of where you mounted all the extra hardware under the hood? Just looking for some ideas. Thanks.
