hit a tree

ok, so i slid the ranger into a tree getting firewood. I hit it square on the front bumper, but it pushed one side of the bumper in. I took the bumper off and the bumper and brackets look straight, but the little flange that the bolts actually go into on the one side is bent. This appears to be welded to the frame of the truck, so i was thinking of heating it up and trying to bend it back into position. I took some pictures, but the camera is at home at the moment. If I make it home tomorrow, I'll post up the pictures so this will make more sense to anyone I lost.
Anyone ever have this issue?

Those dang trees just jump right out in front everytime. They are worse than deer at times. I try to hunt the trees when I can.

Sounds to me like the frame horn might be bent. Pictures?

I did the same thing with my truck 4 months after I bought it. I just used a little porta-power that one of my friends bought from harbor frate. it worked well for me.
